At an Election this Day for chusing eleven Persons to be a Comte. of Correspondence Safety and protection for this District agreable to a Resolve of the City and County of Albany the following persons were duly elected by a Majority of Votes Viz

Calven Young not having complied with the Resolve of this Board of the 27th inst:

Resd. that an Execution be levied upon his Goods for the sum of 8 Pounds due to John Vn Eps

Hooper Bush complained that Margaret Van Slike refused to pay him 7s. 1 1/2 which she owed sd Bush, resd that a Summons be made out for Margt. Vn Slike to appear before this Board on next Tuesday at 3 0clock P M which was done accordingly

On motion made Resolved that Andrew McFarlan be Chairman & James Wilson Clerk. The Constables of this district having been Sent for and now present Resolved that they be tendred the following Oath

You do Swer well and truly to execute the Office of A Constable for the District of Schonectady untill the Next Election for Constables and until1 another be Sworn in your Room Or Until! you Shall be Lawfully discharged from the Said Office So help you God.

Resolved that Andrew McFarlan attend at the General Meeting of the Committee to be held at Albany the 6th Inst and deliver in the Poll of Election of Members for this district. On Motion made Resolved that the Committee meet as Usual at the House of Alexr. Vedder

Reneer Minderse late Chairman of this Committee delivered to the present Chairman of this board the Sum of one hundred & Eighty five pounds four Shillings and three pence being Donation money for the poor of Boston & publick Money belonging to this district On motion made Resolved that the above Sum be and is lodged in the hands of the Chairman for the present

Resolved that Hugh Oar be Sent for a Munday Next by the Chairman and ordred to pay five pounds as a fine for Selling Liquor Contrary to the Orders of this board and that he be again forbid Selling aney liquor to aney person whatsoever in this town Untill lisenced by this or Som futer board.

Liut Clark of Colonel Van Skyks Redgiment made Complaint to this board that a horse was Stoll from One of his Neighbours (a Wido woman) last fall and that he had Now found the Said horse in the possesion of Samuel Tuttle Said Tuttle being pressent Acknowledged to have a horse which he purchased from David Schuyler about ten or twelve Days ago. On Motion made Resolved that Liut. Clark be desired to give the Owner of the horse Notice to Come and proove property and that Saml. Tuttle is ordred to keep the horse untill this board orders him to deliver him up

On Motion made Resolved that the barrckes is wanted for to Quarter the Soldiers in which is Now billeted in this Town and that Doctor Trate be Desired to Send No more Sick or persones to be inoculated to this Hospital. John Cuyler is appointed to wate on Doctor Trate and make him Acquainted with the Above Resolve.

Thomas McCartey Complained to this board that Aron Stevens hath taken up a Colt belonging to Said McCartey and refuses to deliver it up to him Resolved that a Summons be Sent to Aron Stephens to appear before this board on Seterday the 24th Inst. at 2 Clock P M to answer to Said Complaint which was don Accordingly

On Motion made Resolved that Walter Dans may be Releesed from his Confinement on his taking the Oath of Alleagence to this State and that a Coppey of his Oath be transmitted to this board. Resolved that Isaac Wormer & Bartholemy Van Aistine may be Releesed from their Confinement on their taking the Oath of Allegence to the State providing that the Committee of their Own District Aprove of their Releese. Resolved that Henry & Michel Reghter may be Released from their Confinement on their taking the Oath of Alliagence to the State and giving good Security for their futor good behaviour. Resolved that Abm. Funda is appointed to attend at the general Meeting of the Committee at albany on Wednesday Next. Resolved that Abraham Funda & Abraham Oathaut is appointed to Deliver out the two Mrs. of publick Salt Now in Our Custoday in due proportion to the inhabitents of this District who have obtained Certifycats from this board & have Not got Salt and that they Charge three pence pr Quart Over and Above the price fixed by the Counsel of Safety for to defrey the Charges of Transporting the Same from Alby and of Serving the Same Out here, and that they be Sworn to Execute the above Resolve true and faithfully which was don in the following words ----

You do Swer on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that you will Serve out the Salt Now here without partialliaty to the Inhabitents of this District Agreeable to the Above Resolve and keep a Just and true Account of the money Arrising from the Sale of the Same to the best of your Knowledge So help you God. The Certifycats of those who are not looked Upon to be frends to the Cuntry Excepted

Mr. Oathaut being returned from the General Meeting of the Committee reported that it is Still in agitation with the Committee of Albany to release Andrew Lidle & John Winford from their Confinement Unless Some other reasones be asined for keeping them in Custody besides those given in by General Gates Resolved that a letter be wrot to the Committee of Abany desiring they may be kep in Custody & Giving Our Reasones for So doing which was don Accordingly As per Coppy on file. Resolved that John Cuyler Alexander Vedder James Wilson & Hugh Mitchell is appointed to be a Sub-Committee to diside an affair between Samuel Tuttle of this District and the Widow Eva Hainer of Tryon County respecting a Horse. The Committee of Albany having Verbaly requested us to procure as many planks & boards as possible for the publick Use with the Utmost Expedition Resolved that the Owners of the Samills in this District be Sent for to meet here on tuesday Next to give Us in their proposals that we may know how many they can furnish and at what rate.

Eva Hainer being present to prove her titule to a horse Now in the possesion of Samuel Tuttle agreable to a resolve of the 13th Inst. and being asked what Markes the horse She lost hase Says that he is of a black Collawer with a white blase on his forehead with a Small Stripe down towards his nose a white Spott on his lip and is branded with a P upside down but is not Certain whether on the Showlder or thy. The horse being produced and Nearly answering to the Above Description Resolved that Said Eva Hainer be Sworn that the Horse is her property which was don Accordingly

I do Swer on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that the Horse Now prodused by Samuel Tuttle is my Just propertey and that I nor my Husband in his lifetime have Not Sould or Exchanged Said horse with aney person whatsoever that I am Now the proper Owner of Said Horse to the besst of my Knowledge So Help me God

Alexander Robison makes Complaint that John Chairman hase in his Custody Sundry Effects belonging the Heirs of Thomas Claus. On motion made Resolved that Said Chairman be Summonsed to appear before this board on Monday Next to answer to the Complaint of Said Robison which was don Accordingly

Aron Stephens appeared before this board agreable to Summons Served upon him, and produced the Colt Claimed by Thomas McCartey. On Examination the Colt appears to be the property of Said Aron Stephens.

Hugh Oar appeared before this board and paid a fine of five pounds for Retailing liquor without licence and Contreary to Orders from this board Agreeable to a former Resolve
