A meeting of the inhabitants waited on this board and Laid two letters before them: the one directed to Colonel Guy Johnson, and the other Doctor Dire of Johnstown, supposed to contain matters of importance.
On motion made, Resolved, that the letters for Colonel Johnston be opened and red, which being don, found to be from John Blackburn, Merchant in London, and only relative to their private affaires.
Henry Glen delivered to this board recruting warrants from the provincial Congress for Captain Van Dicke and the other officers of his company.
On motion made, Resolved, that said warrents be Emediatly delivered to the respective persons.

John Hughan made aplication to this board for leave to raise a Company of Militia, and reported that he had twenty men Ingaged.
Having taken said request into Consideration, and finding a number of those men who wer engaged for said Company have not signed the association, Resolved, this board disaproves of raising said Company.
Received a letter from Jacob Cuyler, Esq., requesting to know what quantity of wheet flower and pease Can be purchased here. Resolved that said letter be Emediatly answered.
Peter B. Vroman, Mindert A. Wemple & Jelles J. Fundau having been made an offer of warrents for recruiting by the provincial Congress, all refused excepting of them; Therefore Resolved, to recommend John A. Bratt to be Captain, John G. Lansing 1st Lieut., and Ahasueras Wendle to be 2d Lieut., and that a letter be wrot to the Committee of Albany, recomending them in the room of the others who refused serving.
Information being Given to this board that a quantity of musket balls, the property of gorernment, was stored in the House of Margaret Van Antwerp, at the westina:-
Having taken said report into consideration, Resolved, that said balls be Emediately sent for and taken into Custody by this board, to be disposed of as shall hereafter be Juged necessary. Said balls having been sent for and received, weighed 8cwt. 1qr. 8lbs. delivered in charge to Harmanas Wendle.

Orders from General Schuyler to Captain Van Dicke to march Emediately with his Company to Lake George having been shon to this board by Lieut. Lansing, Captain Van Dicke and his first Lieutenant being both absent recruiting
This board having taken said orders into Consideration, Resolved, that the Company march to-morrow, under the Command of Lieut. Lansing, and that the men be ordered to hold themselves in readiness.
The men being drawn up and made acquainted with this resolve, absolutely refused to march without their Captain.
On motion made, Resolved, that an Express be sent to Captain Van Dicke requesting his Emediat return to march with his Company, and that a letter be wrot to General Schuyler, acquainting him of the reason of the Company's Delay.

Received a letter from Christopher Yates, Chairman of Tryon County, informing this board of the supposed danger that county was in of being invaded by the Indians, and desiring assistance.
This board having taken the contents of said letter into Consideration, and being unable to afford any assistance, Resolved, to inclose said letter in one from this board to the Committee of Albany, for their perusel.
Information being given to this board that Serjant Welsh, with a party of men, had gon to Currey Bush and brought in Simon Feder to town in a rieoutes manner: -
Having taken said report into consideration, Resolved to send for said welsh to inquire by what authority or at whose request he went to bring in Simon Feder.
Said welsh having been sent for and pressent, Declared upon oath that he was not advised nor directed by any person whatever to bring in said Feder, but that him and his party went of their oun accord, and that their intention was to bring Simon Feder before the Committee to answer some charges they had heard Mr. Dotey and Mr. Hughan had to give in against them.
On motion made, Resolved, that the Reverand Mr. Dotey and John Hughan be both Examined to know what they have to lay to the charge of said Feder.
The Revd Mr. Dotey and John Hughan being boath Examined, declaired that they had nothing to offer against said Feder. The Reverand Mr. Dotey gave the same in writting from under his hand.

Received a letter from the Committee of Albany, requesting this board to Equip Captain Van Dicke's Company Compleet for a march.
Having taken the contents of said letter into our Consideration, Resolved, that said letter be complyed with, and that they be furnished with necessaries as soon as possible.
On motion made, Resolved, that Captain Van Dicke Deliver in a pay role of his Company from the day of their inlistment untill the 1st day of July.
Received of the Committee of Albany one hundred pounds two shilling, in part for the disbursements of this Committee.
Frederick Fisher applyed to this board for some ball for the use of the Inhabitants of Tryon County.
Having taken said request into Consideration, Resolved, to furnish him with two hundred weight of ball, at the rate of forty shillings per hundred.
On motion made, Resolved, that Captain Van Dicke be furnished with fifty weight of balls for the use of his Company.

Received a letter from Christopher Yates, Chairman of the Committee of Tryon County, informing this board that about six hundred men were assembled in and about Caughnewago, in order to take Alexander White, sherrof of said County, into custody for sundree misdemenors, and that said white had fled to and was protected by Sir John Johnson, who had fortified and put his house in a Posture of defence. Mr. Yates also requested this board to send them two field pieces and some amunition.
Having taken the Contents of said letter into consideration, and not having either field pieces or amunition to supply them with, Resolved, that said letter be inclosed in one from this board to the Committee of Albany, and sent by the Mohok's Express, viz: Jno Newkirk & Win. Snook.

A Sub-committee from Albany waited on this board and informed us they were on their way to Johnstown to inquire the cause of the disturbances in that county, and requested to be Joined by some members of this board.
Having taken said request into consideration, Resolved, that Henry Glen & Harmanas Wendle be a sub-committee from this board to accompany the sub-committee from Albany to Johnstown.
John Funda, from Caughnewago, informed this board that Alexander White with several others had made their Escape from Johnstown, and was supposed to be gon to Canada, and requested that General Schuyler might be made acquainted with their Escape that he might order his scouting partys to keep a look out for them, as it was supposed they might have letters of Consequence about them. John Funda also offered to pay the Expense of an Express for said purpose.
Having taken said Information and request into Consideration, Resolved, that a letter be Emediately wrot to General Schuyler, informing him of the above Inteligence, which was don, as per Coppy on file, and sent by an Express.
